Forgiveness is a transaction that is necessary for our salvation. God’s forgiveness of us is the basis of our forgiveness of others. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is based on forgiveness. The way God forgives us is the pattern for all forgiveness. When Christ died on the cross, he exemplified the ultimate offer of forgiveness. Psalm 1
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
As we take a step back to look now at our need for God’s Word, Psalm 1 stands out as one of the clearest passages in scripture on the role of the Word in our life. (more…)

Christians today often live their lives as if there were no God. It’s not that they really believe that there is no God. It’s just that they live like there isn’t. They wake up every morning with things on their mind that pull their attention immediately away from God. There is no reality of God to them…to us. (more…)
