A Brief Theology of Forgiveness
Forgiveness is a transaction that is necessary for our salvation. God’s forgiveness of us is the basis of our forgiveness of others. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is based on forgiveness. The way God forgives us is the pattern for all forgiveness. When Christ died on the cross, he exemplified the ultimate offer of forgiveness.
